“Take and eat; this is my body.” – Matthew 26:26
Since the Second Vatican Council, there has been a special ministry for lay people who want to assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ both during the Mass and by bringing it to the infirm and the homebound.
This is a grave ministry that must be conducted with the utmost care – for to handle the bread and wine is to handle God Himself.
In order to become an Extraordinary Minister, one must complete the appropriate training, which we as a parish are happy to assist with!
If you feel like God might be calling you to take on this responsibility and help bring Christ to others, reach out to the parish office so we can discuss further.
