In partnership with Crossroads for Christ (C4C) a ministry of young Catholics throughout Connecticut, we are glad to host weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Tuesday nights at Sacred Heart Church. Taking place within a Holy Hour, the service begins at 7:15 PM and ends at 8:15 PM. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also offered throughout.

We strongly encourage any and all looking to deepen their relationship with Jesus to come join us in adoring Him!
What is Adoration?
Eucharistic adoration is a time for prayer in which Christians—particularly the Catholic faithful—adore our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Adoration can take place either when the Church reserves our Eucharistic Lord Jesus in the tabernacle, or when a priest or deacon exposes the consecrated Host in a monstrance outside of Mass. This type of worship logically flows from the Catholic dogma that Jesus is truly and sacramentally present—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Eucharist, in this case under the appearance of bread in the consecrated Host.
In adoration, Catholics seek to revere and encounter deeply our Lord in the Eucharist. It is a wonderful time for prayer, thanksgiving, and worship!
What do I need to bring or prepare?
Only a humble and contrite heart! Although many use their time in adoration to pray the Rosary and Chaplets or to read Scripture or other worthy books, this is far from required. All that matters is you bring with you a true desire to be present with Jesus and to spend time with Him in this special, intimate way.
