Lent 2025 – The Chosen Viewing and Discussion Group
After several discussions and references to The Chosen during Men’s Ministry sessions, we were asked to start a ‘Chosen Watch Group’. This year we are going to try this for Lent. The Midd-South Catholic Men’s Ministry group is sponsoring it, however it’s not just for the MM group – all are welcome – men, women, come for 1 session, come for all, etc.
When: 3/6/2025 to 4/10/2025
Where: Depending on size, we will meet Thursday nights at the Sacred Heart Campus from 6:30-7:45PM. We will meet in the atrium of the church and find a room for our meeting.
Sessions:
- Watch the week’s episode of The Chosen before the meeting that week.
- We will prepare 4 questions (for example):
- What was most meaningful to you? Why?
- How does it tie to your experience of Lent in 2025?
- What about how the episode was presented resonated with you?
- What would you like to share with the group?
- Meeting
- Opening Prayer and God Moments – 10 minutes
- Set Up the episode, recap – 5 minutes
- Share 4 questions – 5 minutes
- Roundtable 30 minutes– may break out in to smaller groups depending on participation
- Summarize as a large group – 10 minutes
- Preview the next episode – 5 minutes
- Adjourn – 5 minutes
