Aside from our Sacred Liturgy in which our entire community is joined in worship, the Rosary, and what is called its “Mysteries”, is possibly the most familiar choice of prayer for people of faith. It has been so in the western church for centuries.  It can be enlightening, then, to learn what it is that underlies this popular private devotion, what is the significance of “mystery” in each of the four divisions of the Rosary? At its heart, the word isn’t meant to suggest something hidden or impossible to understand, but the marvelous working of a loving God in his creation. Whether or not saying the Rosary is part of your prayer-life, our first program this year, Scripture and the Rosary, will enrich your understanding of the significance of each of these mysteries, and engage your own prayer efforts.

This four-session program will be given on both campuses, in St. John of the Cross on alternate Thursday evenings at 7 PM, beginning on September 14, and in Sacred Heart on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 AM, beginning on September 27, both live and in Zoom.

The book ($12 ea.) is available in the Faith Formation Office so that participants can begin their reading and be prepared for the first session. We suggest that you leave us your e-mail address, particularly if you are interested in Zoom accommodation.
